Here at Superior Finish our aim is to make the whole experience a pleasurable one. From your initial visit and product selection through to the installation we will take the stress and worry from you.
Our experienced showroom staff will guide you through the ranges on offer, advising you on the best flooring to suit your requirements and budget. We can, if required carefully remove and replace your furniture, uplift & dispose of your old floor coverings and we will always take away any trimmings and waste that you do not wish to keep. We can also bind the edges of your spare carpet for you to use as mats if you wish.
Our History
1986
Superior Finish flooring was opened in 1986, by Andy Polhill & Mark Fisher.
We have both lived and grown up in St Ives for most of our lives and are well known for what we do in our area.
We opened the store in the same building that we still occupy, since then we have grown into the areas largest independent retailer. We have installed many 1000’s of sq meters of flooring, and in 2008 we opened our commercial division called Superior Finish (contracts).
1986
We have always offered the Superior Finish.
Uplifting and disposing of the existing flooring, moving and replacing the furniture, leaving the installation clean and tidy.
1986 - 2015
Across the company, we often employ over 25 floor layer’s daily.
Many of these being fully employed 'on the books' fitters. We run our own fleet of 14 vans.
2012
Superior Finish Flooring is a member of the Associated Carpet Group (ACG).
It has a member ship of over 215 companies, running out of over 260 stores across the UK. Being part of this group give us huge buying power, and these savings are passed on to our customers.
2015
Today we stock approx. 50 rolls of carpet, with prices from £10.99 square metre.
We also stock vinyl flooring from £12.49 square metre and always have over 100 carpet remnants in stock.
2016
Moved into Spacious New Showroom
Superior Finish moved into our new purpose built, two-floor showroom with over 7,000 sq feet of floorspace.
